Types Of Forging Hammers

We have wide series of forging hammer which are widely used for general Forging works, such as drawing-out, upsetting, punching, chiseling, forge, welding, bending and twisting. It is also used for forging in bolster dies.

C41 series pneumatic forging hammers don't need any additional compressor or any other machine to start the hammer, customers just need to build the foundation according to the foundation drawing which we will send to customers.

C41 series pneumatic forging hammer consists of the following principal parts: frame, working part, compressing part, driving part, controlling part, lubricating part.

1. The frame is the body of the hammer, also the essential component part of it. The frame is a solid casting with the working and compressing cylinders and the valve chest. While in operation, compressed air from the compressing cylinder enters the working cylinder, making the tup move up and down to do work.

2. The working part is the main part that does all the forging work. It consists of the tup, the guide, and the anvil block. The tup is made of 45# steel, in order to have enough strength and the rated weight, and not changing size under durable operation it is made of hollow shape with a hot fitted cover. The anvil block is primarily used for supporting work pieces and for blowing load exerted by the tup.

3. The compressing part is the main component part of the compression mechanism and is mounted in the compressing cylinder of the frame.

4. The driving part is used to convert the rotary movement of the motor into the reciprocating motion, causing the piston to move up and down.

5. The controlling parts is to direct the compressed air flow from the compressing cylinder to the working cylinder so that various functions of the tup necessary for forging work can be attained.
